Supervision and Consultation

Supervision and Consultation

Clinical Supervision?

Clinical supervision at The Integration Centre provides a structured and reflective space for psychologists, provisional psychologists, and other mental health professionals.

The focus is on developing clinical reasoning, strengthening formulation and intervention skills, supporting ethical practice, and building confidence in complex clinical work.

Supervision is particularly suited to clinicians working with veterans, first responders, and process-based psychological care.

How We Support Clinicians

Supervision may include:

  • case discussion and formulation;
  • treatment planning and intervention support;
  • process-based formulation;
  • trauma-informed clinical practice;
  • veteran-informed and frontline informed guidance;
  • support for early career clinicians;
  • professional reflection and development.

Sessions are tailored to the clinician’s level of experience, learning needs, professional role, and practice context.

Our Approach

Supervision is collaborative, structured, and clinically focused. We combine evidence-informed practice with applied understanding of military and frontline service to support practical skill development, reflective practice, clinical reasoning, and professional confidence.

Safety & Suitability

Supervision is a confidential professional space focused on reflection, learning, and clinical development. At commencement, goals, expectations, and scope are clarified to ensure appropriate structure and alignment.

Consultation

Consultation is available for organisations and teams working with veterans and first responders.

Consultation may support organisations seeking to strengthen psychologically informed practice, trauma-informed systems, staff wellbeing, operational understanding, and service delivery.

Preparation & Integration Therapy

Preparation & Integration Therapy

What Is Preparation & Integration Therapy?

Preparation and Integration Therapy provides psychological support for adults who are preparing for, or integrating, self-directed psychedelic or altered-state experiences that occur outside the therapy setting.

The focus is on preparation, emotional safety, grounding, reflection, meaning-making, and integration into everyday life.

This service does not involve facilitation, supervision, recommendation, supply, administration, or direction of any medicine.

How Preparation & Integration Therapy Works

  1.  Preparation Phase — Preparation sessions focus on psychological readiness, emotional grounding, coping strategies, risk awareness, intention setting, and support planning.
  2. Integration Phase — Integration sessions support reflection, meaning-making, emotional processing, and the translation of insight into practical life changes.

Preparation & Integration Therapy is psychological support only. All psychedelic or altered-state experiences are self-directed and occur outside the therapy setting. No substances are supplied, recommended, administered, facilitated, supervised, or directed.

Who Can Benefit

This service may support adult clients seeking structured psychological support before or after self-directed psychedelic or altered-state experiences that occur outside the therapy setting.

Suitability is assessed individually, with attention to mental health history, current stability, risk, support systems, psychological readiness, and current treating professionals.

Our Approach

We provide trauma-informed psychological support within clear professional and ethical boundaries.

Sessions focus on emotional readiness, grounding, reflection, meaning-making, psychological safety, and integration using evidence-informed therapeutic frameworks.

Safety & Suitability

Client safety is central. We do not facilitate, supervise, recommend, or direct psychedelic or altered-state experiences.

All therapeutic work focuses on preparation, coping strategies, emotional regulation, risk awareness, and post-experience integration.

Liaison with a healthcare provider, such as a GP or psychiatrist, may be recommended as part of assessment and care planning where clinically appropriate and with client consent.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy

What Is Individual Therapy?

At The Integration Centre, we provide a confidential one-to-one space online to explore current difficulties, life experiences, emotional patterns, behaviour, relationships, identity, and functioning. Therapy is process-based, this means we look at what is maintaining distress or reduced functioning over time, rather than focusing only on symptoms or diagnosis. The work is collaborative, practical, and paced according to the person’s readiness and goals.

Who We Work With

We primarily work with veterans and first responders.

Therapy may support people navigating service-related stress, trauma exposure, transition, emotional strain, identity change, relationship difficulties, avoidance, reduced functioning, loss of purpose, or patterns that are becoming difficult to shift alone

How Therapy Works

Initial Assessment

The first two to three sessions usually focus on understanding your current concerns, relevant background, goals, risk, functioning, strengths, and supports. You do not need to retell every detail of difficult experiences for therapy to begin.

Formulation and Treatment Direction

We work together to identify the patterns that may be maintaining distress, avoidance, disconnection, or reduced functioning. This may include patterns in the body, emotions, thoughts, behaviour, relationships, identity, values, and purpose. The formulation helps guide treatment targets and gives therapy a clear direction.

Targeted Therapeutic Work

Ongoing sessions focus on the processes most relevant to your needs. This may include regulation strategies, emotional processing, cognitive and behavioural flexibility, values-based action, relational work, identity and purpose-focused work, or trauma-focused therapy where appropriate.

Integration Between Sessions

Therapy is supported by practical integration points between sessions. These may include noticing patterns, practising regulation, applying strategies, reflecting on values, or taking small steps toward change.

Trauma-Focused Therapy

EMDR and TF-CBT therapy may be included within individual therapy where clinically appropriate.

TF-CBT uses traditional talk therapy and behavioural exposure, whereas EMDR relies on memory reprocessing guided by bilateral stimulation. Your therapist will discuss these with you prior to commencement.

Evidence-Based Care

We draw on evidence-informed therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, cognitive and behavioural strategies, mindfulness-based skills, EMDR and TF-CBT where clinically appropriate, somatic regulation work, and attachment-informed therapy. These are used within a process-based framework, guided by the client’s goals, readiness, and real-world context.
