What Is Veteran Support at The Integration Centre?

We understand military culture, operational pressures, and the realities of service. Veteran support is about helping you manage the emotional, practical, and physical challenges that can arise during or after service, including day-to-day life, relationships, work, and recovery from service-related injuries or stress.

How We Support Veterans

We provide structured care that is practical, steady, and grounded in real understanding of military life. Our approach is simple: we meet you where you are, work at your pace, and support you through the challenges you face.

Here’s how we work with veterans, ADF personnel, and their families:

  1. Reach Out – Contact us directly. All sessions are private and secure.
  2. Getting Started – Meet a psychologist familiar with military life. We explore your service history, current challenges, and goals without needing you to over-explain your experiences.
  3. Day-to-Day Support – Practical strategies to help you manage daily life, work, relationships, and recovery from physical or service-related injuries.
  4. Processing Service Impacts – Support to work through the psychological and physical effects of service when you’re ready, including trauma, stress, and long-term service-related impacts.
  5. Handling Challenges – Guidance to manage ongoing pressures and adapt strategies developed during or after service.
  6. Family Support – Therapy for partners and family members affected by service life or service-related challenges.
  7. Moving Forward – Help with rebuilding identity, purpose, and routines after trauma, discharge, or reintegration.

Who Can Benefit

Veterans, currently serving ADF members, DVA White/Gold Card holders, and family members navigating challenges or adjusting to life after service.

Our Approach

Our team combines lived military experience with clinical expertise. We understand the realities of service life and the stigma that can come with seeking help. We create a safe, straightforward space where you can be understood, work at your pace, and get practical support to manage the challenges you face.

Safety & Suitability

Before therapy begins, we review your history and experiences to ensure you’re ready and comfortable. Safety and suitability are considered throughout therapy, guided by your pace, comfort, and ongoing assessment. Sessions are always tailored to your readiness and needs.
