A Framework for Psychological Care

A Framework for Psychological Care

Psychological care at The Integration Centre focuses on understanding the patterns that shape how people respond to stress, difficult experiences, relationships and everyday demands. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, care is tailored to the individual, their circumstances and what they want to change. The focus is on developing greater understanding, flexibility and practical ways forward that can be applied beyond the therapy room.

How We Provide Care

How We Provide Care

Psychological care is provided online across Australia, offering flexible access for people living in metropolitan, regional and remote areas. Appointments are tailored to the individual and may be accessed privately, through Medicare, DVA, Defence, workers compensation, insurer-funded pathways, or other relevant referral arrangements. Where appropriate, care may also involve communication with GPs, psychiatrists and other treating professionals to support continuity of care.

  • Assessment & Understanding

We begin by understanding what is happening for you now, the broader context, and what you would like support with.

  • Formulation & Treatment Planning

Together, we develop a clear understanding of the patterns contributing to difficulties and identify the most useful areas to focus on.

  • Targeted Therapeutic Work

Therapy is tailored to the individual and may focus on regulation, psychological flexibility, processing difficult experiences, relationships, values, and practical change.

  • Integration Between Sessions

Therapy is supported by applying insights and strategies in everyday life, helping meaningful change extend beyond the therapy room.

Our Commitment

Our Commitment

The Integration Centre is committed to providing psychological care that is respectful, evidence-informed and tailored to the individual. Care is grounded in clear communication, collaborative decision-making and an understanding of the broader context in which each person lives and works. Where appropriate, we also collaborate with referrers and other treating professionals to support continuity and coordinated care.
